Dove Real Beauty

I watched this yesterday and cried.

It's amazing how differently we see ourselves.
Every woman is truly beautiful...
no matter what!

WOW, what a great message. We are our own worst critiques, but it can be so hard sometimes to view the beautiful things about yourself. Thank you for sharing :)

I agree. Dove's new campaign is quite brilliant! Saw you at SITS - your kids are so cute!

I saw it the other day too and just loved it. It was amazing how consistently each woman saw herself as less beautiful. Really makes you think about what you would say about yourself... Stopping by from SITS!

I hadn't clicked on this before. I got teary eyed too...we need to stop being so hard on ourselves.

I feel like I would go the other way and make myself gorgeous and then I'd see the sketch someone else made and feel sad! Happy SITS Day!

I cried too. I feel like we are bombarded with images and celebrities who are considered "ideal," and when we don't match up, we are less content with ourselves. I have felt this my whole life and now have two girls (and a boy) who are continuing to be influenced by this kind of environment. I love that Dove has been trying hard to teach society that our differences are not a hindrance to our appearance, but rather, make us "individual" beauties.

Thanks for sharing and Happy SITS Day!

I watched this via Facebook earlier in the week and found it heartbreaking to watch as well. I know that I'm guilty of it myself! Visiting from SITS!
