fashion friday

I have been trying to build my basic wardrobe with the clothing that I consider essential to a good versatile wardrobe.
These are some of the basics that I have bought over the last year or so.
They're not the exact items I bought but pieces I found on polyvore to use for this.
I am happy with where my wardrobe is starting to go...
I am really trying to have basics so I can make many different easy go to outfits.
Because since I've become a mom I've found it hard to look cute but with these basics on hand I know I can make many different simple & cute outfits.
So for me this has been important to me to begin building up my wardrobe...
especially since I turned 30 this past year
and don't want to dress like a teenager anymore and look like the adult that I am.

These items are all so versatile...
you can make so many different outfits from these items.
I am really looking forward to really diving into the world of fashion
and learning how to mix & match basic pieces to create many different outfits.
I still need to go through my closet & get rid of all the stuff I know I will not wear anymore.
My closet is overly packed full of this kind of stuff & in desperate need of weeding out the stuff I don't wear or doesn't fit my style anymore.

I love all of those pieces! I am trying to do the same - but I am so cheap when it comes to clothes shopping. I can buy running clothes no problem - I need to make it more of a priority!

Thank you!! I still have issues feeling cute about 10 months post-baby. And things wind up covered in crumbs. So there you go. But these are great ideas and are giving me great places to start. THANK YOU!

I've been trying to update my wardrobe too. After taking an office job and turning 35, it really needed it. The hardest part is getting rid of clothes that I will never wear again.

A great idea to be able to look at your wardrobe for future planning. Gotta try it, too. Enjoy your SITS Day.

Nice collection! I own some of those same pieces too! It makes getting dressed some days so much easier. Especially when you're in a hurry.

I really appreciate your wardrobe essential suggestions. I have two very small babies and have found I have lost all fashions sense. Sweats are my go to and I really need to revamp my wardrobe. Thanks! Happy SITS Day!
