Bad blogger

I have been a horrible blogger lately!
It is mainly due to being completely and utterly sick 24/7 from this sweet little baby I am carrying. I pretty much have no relief from either feeling sick or from actually being sick. Then about 2 weeks ago I woke up around 11pm one night with an excruciating pain in my belly & of course freaked out because I was so worried that something was wrong with my baby! So my husband woke up Zane and we put him in the car and drove to the ER. He dropped me off and then ran to my parents house to drop Zane off so he could go back to sleep because we didn't know how long we were going to be at the ER then he headed back to me. Meanwhile they checked me in & took me directly back to a room, then they took all my vitals and whatnot. The doctor came in almost immediately to talk to me and he said with almost 100% certainty that it was gallstones because of where the pain was in my belly. He ordered me an ultrasound & a bag of fluids and gave me some morphine to ease the pain. James finally got there and by that time I was almost completely done with all of this. Then we went to get the ultrasound and he confirmed it was definitely gallstones and LOTS of them!!! So we went back to our room and had to wait for the "official" results from the radiologist and find out whether or not the doctor would want me to have surgery that night. The doctor finally came in with the results and said he would prefer for me to talk to my OB/GYN about having the surgery since I was 13 weeks pregnant. They told us that there is a period during pregnancy that it is safe for them to perform the surgery which is from about 14 weeks to about 20 weeks. So the next week when I went to see my doctor on my routine appointment I talked to my doc about what he thought would be best. I also had an appointment scheduled to talk to the surgeon so that in case I needed to have the surgery he would know my whole situation and what was going on. Both of those doctors decided that it would be best to wait until after I had the baby to have the surgery, UNLESS I have another flair up, then they would get together and have a conversation and decide then what they wanted to do. But I will be having it removed whether it be when I am pregnant or after the baby is here because once you have gallstones they don't just go away like kidney stones. Some of them can be passed but I have some very large ones that won't be able to be passed and could cause major damage or infections and make it much more serious & dangerous to my body. Your body does not need a gallbladder to live so they will remove it completely and then my issue will be resolved. But for now I am not a very strict bland diet. Which is complete torture seeing as I am pregnant and craving stuff constantly. I will admit that I do indulge every once and awhile because it's just way to hard not too! I am super glad that all the doctors decided that it would be better to wait until after the baby is born. I would really rather not have to have surgery while pregnant unless it's to get baby out!! So that is where I am at right now. I am going to try extremely hard to get back into blogging because I miss it. Plus I have to share all the fun pics from our vacation to Palm Springs & the day we went down to Disneyland! Hopefully I can get that posted this weekend. Because Sunday we are having a birthday party for a certain little boy in our life and then on Monday is his actual birthday so I am going to be busy posting about those two things next week. I can't believe my little baby is going to be TWO on Monday!! He's growing up so darn fast.

Ohmyword girl. Serious stuff! I hope you are feeling better now. Ironically, my good gf just text me today and she had to go in for emergency surgery to get her gallbladder removed! I hope you don't have any more flare ups during your pregnancy.

Are you feeling good enough to make the meet up tomorrow night on Hawthorne? Cause I'll be there! :) I look forward to meeting you!
